Halfway Down the Stairs

Today’s blog is silly and the whole thing rhymes!
I hope that you have been enjoying your time,
Reading about clothing and colors and rain,
And food songs and doggies and bedtime refrain.

These blogs have been aiming for practical ways,
To make music learning a part of all days.
Your children are learning and growing so fast!
These musical moments are things that will last.

Before summer comes there is one more blog guys!
It is an old chant that you might recognize.
From Winnie the Pooh, the most heartfelt of bears,
It’s A. A. Milne’s poem “Halfway Down the Stairs.”
 

So yes, we are going off-topic a bit,
This poem does not necessarily fit,
The general lists we’ve been building this spring,
But hopefully still lots of joy it will bring.

Especially if you watched The Muppet Show,
Then this is a song you might already know!
It’s sung by small Robin the Frog as he sits,
The tiny green nephew of our fave Kermit.
 

Then Family Guy did their own little spoof,
And obviously, this one is just pure goof,
But still child-friendly don’t worry I checked! 
(Each clip on our blog gets a thorough inspect.)
 

So thank you to Peter and Robin the Frog,
For being the stars of this week’s silly blog!
And also to Emma because I forbid,
A single week passing without a cute kid.
