Philip's love for music began at age 5, strumming his dad‘s old acoustic guitar before graduating to pots and pans and eventually his first drum set. By 12, he was playing in a band with college students and went on to become first chair percussionist throughout middle and high school. He also played on many studio recordings, with live acts, and has even been on the radio and in the newspaper a time or two.
Music has been a lifelong passion, but teaching kids is especially meaningful now that his own two children attend the class. He’s thrilled to be part of the program and to share the joy of music with the next generation!
