There's magic watching children's growth through singing and dancing. My experience teaching in Early Childhood Montessori education for over two decades brings a unique blend of expertise, passion and musical joy to class. Guiding circle times in classrooms and facilitating kiddos through music and movement have been a highlight of working with children.

I hold an Elementary Education Degree from MSU Bozeman which provides me with a deep academic foundation in how children learn, grow and process the world around them.

My daily life is a whirlwind of songs, stories and beautiful chaos as I am a proud mother of two boys. We are often jamming out to music inside and outside. Dancing through life! The nostalgia of my own childhood as vivid memories come to life. From the age of 4, I began dancing tap, ballet and jazz. I spent a handful of years playing the piano and guitar. These experiences grounded my mind and body for a lifetime love of music.

My mission as your child's music teacher is to enhance language development, motor skills and social connections. Most importantly to foster a lifelong love of grooving to the music. I'm so thrilled to share all the joys of The Music Class - Five Valleys experience with you!

What two things could possibly bring us more joy than children and music? I am so grateful to get to work with your little musicians and share that joy with you. I believe learning music in a way that is developmentally appropriate and play based will prepare our little ones for a life of understanding and appreciating music. It will also help us, as their grown ups, to connect and communicate with them with more than just words. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a Teaching English as a Second Language minor. I have worked with children for the past decade; most recently as a preschool teacher, daycare provider, and coach. While I have a degree in Elementary Education, my love for the baby and preschool ages was found while parenting my own little musicians. I believe music is a powerful cultural tool that we can use to connect to others in our community. In my youth I was actively involved in choir and orchestra. I have recently connected to that part of myself and my community again here in Missoula. I have been involved in several Missoula Children’s Theaters productions and have found others who love to learn in the Missoula Community Choir. I look forward to seeing you and your little musicians in Music Class soon!

Music has been a central part of my life since I was five years old, when I began singing, dancing, performing in theatre, and playing the piano. As a parent, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful music can be - my three boys have been attending The Music Class since they were just six months old!

I founded The Music Class - Five Valleys in 2023 because it brings me so much joy to introduce young children and their families to the many benefits of music. My classes are interactive, engaging, and thoughtfully personalized. I take great care to make sure each child feels seen and each family feels welcome, supported, and connected through the experience of music-making.

I'm grateful you're taking time to explore The Music Class - Five Valleys, and look forward to making magic with you in class!

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began singing at a young age and grew up exploring many styles of music and movement, including tap, jazz, hula, hip-hop, and belly dancing. I later studied music in college, taking classes in piano, guitar, voice, musicianship, and world music, which shaped my love for diverse musical traditions.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature, along with an associate degree in Anthropology. In college, I supported an after-school Spanish Club that taught children Spanish through play, music, and creative activities. This experience deepened my appreciation for language learning in early childhood and culturally responsive teaching.

Over the years, I’ve continued to grow as a musician through private lessons, songwriting, performing, and participating in musical productions. I’ve also explored sound from a wellness perspective, studying Behavioral Psychoacoustics and working with sound-based practices that support focus, relaxation, and connection.

Today, I love bringing all of these experiences together in my work with young children. Teaching The Music Class allows me to share music in a joyful, engaging, and nurturing way, helping children and families connect through movement, sound, and play.
