It happened! Your child is too mature for early childhood music programs, but not developmentally ready for the rigors of instrument lessons or traditional dance and theater classes. We have just the class for your child. This is where fun meets theater and music education. Students will have a blast building self confidence and delving deeper into their relationship with music, theater and movement through our Drama Kids program.
Our little maestros will:
Explore beat and rhythm
Students learn what the beat is and how to find it in a piece of music. They may clap or pat their legs to the beat, and then practice keeping the beat while singing or playing a song. Students also learn about rhythm, which is the arrangement of sounds over time.
Find the Fun in Performance
Students learn about different ways to express themselves through music, such as vocal sounds, body movements, art, and poetry and dance.
Discover music theory and technique
Students learn about musical notation, rhythmic techniques and singing simple harmonies. Students will become familiar with the notes on the keyboard.
