As a public school teacher, I really enjoy teaching young children.  Being specialized in music, I  constantly talk about the benefits and rewards music gives each individual child in education and in life.  Sadly, with the music curriculum either purposely being taken out off schools due to budget cuts or are being left out due to not enough time in the school day for the current curriculum demands, I am extremely excited to be teaching MYC!

I moved into the North Bay area to attend university and after graduating the B. Ed. Program, I became a supply teacher for the public school board. Sporadically throughout the years, I taught individual music lessons for individual families.  2014-2015 I taught regular individual music lessons at the J. Brooks Academy of Music and in 2015 I started J.Ede's Music Lessons.

2015 is the year I realized my true calling.  Although going to different schools and teaching many different students is fun, I love working with students on a more one-on-one basis and taking each individual child to the next level of their musical journey.

Under the business name J. Ede's Music Lessons, I teach out of my home studio space.  I currently offer individual music lessons in piano, voice, flute, clarinet, guitar and ukulele for older students but I can not stress enough how much this program is the most complete packed musical program out there for the most all-around musical education! I run group classes for MYC and the Music Pups® program for infants toddlers.
