Jen has been teaching The Music Class for over two decades, and is just as excited to share music with you and your kiddos now as she was on her first day! Although music has always been a part of her life through dance, Jen took a roundabout path to teaching, with stops in construction engineering and city planning before becoming a mom and taking The Music Class! Trying out on a whim after seeing an email saying they were looking for new teachers, Jen found her calling, and teaching you and your little ones has been a dream come true! Since starting to teach in 2004, Jen has also taken on administrative duties, including training and managing TMC centers and schools all over the world.
Favorite TMC Moment
It’s impossible to choose one moment after over 2 decades of teaching. My favorite time as a teacher is when you get that moment of connection with each child. Sometimes it’s a sweet wave, or a shy smile, or an enthusiastic hug that knocks me over, or a kiddo telling me ALL THEIR NEWS as soon as they walk in the door. Mostly, I just love hearing “Ms. Jen!” from them! 😊
