Miss Laura and Miss Emily are our choir teachers!
Ages 4-6, 5:30-6:25 pm, Carmel, Mondays, September 12-November 14. The last session will be an extended time due to a performance.
The Singing Village is focused on fun, movement, play/improvisation, and vocal exploration and expansion. All voices are welcome, encouraged, and nurtured. No audition required.
Voice-building activities are intentionally designed to encourage individual musical-self-expression, singing confidence (individual and within the group), and group musical collaboration.
Goals are to encourage positive self-esteem, joyful music-making, and friendship by fostering brave and inclusive musical spaces with an emphasis on the musical journey rather than the musical end (product).
Performances provide singers with the opportunity to choose music, movement, scenes and dances they would like to share. The emphasis is creativity, musical preparation, collaboration, and confidence-building.
