Carly Hughes

Carly started taking her daughter to music class at the Music Playhouse when she was just 10 months old, and now she is excited to join the TMP family as a teacher!  She has a Bachelor's degree in elementary education from Purdue and a graduate certification in literacy instruction from Ball State.  Before college, Carly studied voice and piano for many years. She taught piano with Irina Gorin's Piano Studio and performed competitively around the Indianapolis area.  As a Carmel native, she had wonderful opportunities to be involved with show choir and musical theatre from a young age.  She credits her public school teachers, choir directors, vocal coach, piano teacher, and parents with cultivating a love for music and a passion for teaching.  Carly is thrilled to bring her experience to The Music Playhouse and make music with your family!

Gladys Salas

I’m Gladys, originally from Venezuela and now proud to call Indiana home for the past 7 years. As an accountant by profession, I’ve found immense joy in nurturing my son’s bilingualism, knowing firsthand the dedication required to master a language. From my earliest years, I’ve been captivated by the English language, a passion that led me to serve as an ESL Instructional Assistant at Monon Trail Elementary School, where I had the privilege of helping young learners grasp English. Additionally, as the District Community Liaison for Westfield Schools, I’ve had the opportunity to support families in their educational journey. Beyond work, I enjoy listening to music and cherish the bonds formed through new friendships. Each day, I embrace the opportunity to learn something new. You can often find me and my son exploring the outdoors, attending music classes, or enjoying our local library!
