TMC center directors are welcome to teach classes themselves and/or hire teachers. TMC teachers need to have an effervescent personality, a pleasant singing voice, accurate pitch and rhythm skills, and a desire to learn our methods. No formal music training or educational background is required! The Music Class provides start up training, detailed teaching instructions, video examples, and lesson plans. With your skills and our training, we make it easy to be successful in the classroom. The Music Class is a family-owned business that prides itself in working closely with all of our centers. When you become a TMC center director you become part of our extended TMC family!
The Music Class Start Up Training includes:
- Background research and educational philosophy
- Detailed guidance on how to teach your own classes
- Extensive video examples of our teaching methods in actual classes
In addition, all centers that purchase the Start Up Training receive:
- A center page on The Music Class website - regardless if you decide to use our website as your class registration system
- A complimentary set of materials (music & songbook on our app) for each session you teach
- Online access to our session-specific training for each session you teach
- Teaching suggestions, lesson plans, and video examples for each song collection
TMC centers in the US and Canada have the option of using The Music Class website to register their students. TMC's custom website registration system is specifically designed for The Music Class. When families register for a class, it automatically adds the associated collection of music to their account on The Music Class app. The website allows families to schedule makeups and absences, automatically prorates the cost of late registrations, and can create and utilize gift certificates, promo codes, one-time events, marketing blocks, class rosters, SMS text notifications, and more.
Centers that prefer to use their own website to register students still get listed on The Music Class website so families can search for classes near them and find all locations teaching TMC programs. For centers using their own registration system, digital music is provided through codes that can be redeemed and listened to on our second app called TMC Tunes. TMC Tunes is also available in multiple languages for our international centers!
