Welcome to The Music Class East Bay!

We currently offer classes in Castro Valley on Saturdays and Sundays (scroll down to register). Coming soon to Fremont!

Join us for vibrant mommy & me style classes filled with music, movement, and fun! The Music Class is an international early childhood music education program offering award-winning music and research-based curricula. It is an engaging music and movement program that is designed to unlock the musical potential of young children. Parents, grandparents, caregivers are welcome to attend the class with each child without extra fee!

Since young children learn through play, we will help expand their musical vocabularies through exposing them to different musical styles and through lively activities that will keep them engaged and excited in class. Our sessions foster socialization and cognitive development, providing a joyful environment where both children and their caregivers can thrive together.

We are offering The Music Class® mixed-age classes for babies up to 4-year-olds with a parent or caregiver.

Sibling discount is available. Siblings 6 months or younger are free. See Tuition policy here.

Dennis Javelo

My family enjoys The Music Class so much that I've decided to become The Music Class teacher! I have taught math in Oakland public high schools for the past 19 years, and have found it extremely rewarding helping students gain mastery of math and take pride in their conceptual understanding of math. Growing up, I played clarinet, piano, and guitar, and still love to jam out on the acoustic guitar occasionally. I absolutely love to sing and dance every chance I get, and I have even taken ballroom dancing lessons as an adult so that I can be able to dance at practically any occasion! I'm excited to share with both children and adults the joy, relaxation, and freedom that comes from music and dance!

Anita Fong

Grew up surrounded by music, with years of piano, ballet, and ballroom dancing training, Anita developed a deep appreciation for musical expression. She brings a wealth of experience to The Music Class by blending rhythm and creativity in every lesson. As the board chair of ARTogether, an Oakland-based nonprofit that leverages art-based programs to support refugee and immigrant communities, Anita is passionate about using arts to empower others. She is excited to inspire young children to explore the joys of music and movement, fostering a lifelong love for the arts.
