Welcome to The Music Class New Orleans, now under new ownership!

Join our fun-filled music and movement classes for children and their adults in a joyful and nurturing environment. The Music Class offers research-based education programs designed to unleash the musical potential of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.  We are a family-owned and operated business based in Atlanta, and as of Spring 2025 we are excited to be managing classes in NOLA!

Amber Cooper

Amber, a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), joined TMC in 2024 and brings a passion for fostering connection and learning through music. With a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology from Loyola University New Orleans, Amber's experience includes working with individuals with diverse needs and engaging children in both group and one-on-one settings. In Parent and Me Music Classes, she uses music as a tool for learning, self-expression, and creating a fun and loving environment for young children and their families.

Avery Collins

Avery Collins is a singer, songwriter, teacher, composer, and worship leader. She is originally from Bryan, Texas and received a B.A. in Music with a concentration in classical voice from the University of North Texas in 2020. Avery has spent her time since undergrad teaching Kindergarten and 3rd-5th Grade Music at a Classical charter school in Texas. She is currently working on recording her first E.P. Avery aspires to use her music and her passion to teach children to inspire and lead others to beauty.

Cory Ashby

Cory is a multi-instrumentalist with a master’s degree in music composition from Tulane. He is a busy music teacher and performer in the area and has a passion for understanding music development and teaching young children.  

Among other honors he has been a guest artist at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, received a Community Partnership Grant from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, and was a Selected Composer for New Music on the Bayou.
